Medium: Adobe After Effects
About: This was the first big project I made on After Effects. Taking a look back on the skills I learned from the Fish Demo, I tried to put as much of those skills to use with this one. I’m very fond of cherry blossom trees and the night sky, so I combined the two to create an animated scenery, which also loops. The biggest challenge was trying to get the shapes of the leaves for the parts of the tree in the back. Drawing each leaf and petal by shape would have taken more time, and to give it more depth, I played with the colors and shading of the leaves beneath.
